The freedom of speech is the freedom to express things such as how we feel such as the impact of such events that took place within the last few years and events that are ongoing and is very crucial for the media.
But in non democratic states there is no such thing as freedom of the press. I have been to China, just after the Tiananmen conflicts and I could perfectly see that there was no such thing even as freedom of talking with our guide!
