Advice to quit smoking and prevent food cravings

The advice is easy to give but not that easy to follow – maybe the best way is to go through a period, immediately after quitting, of intense activity, be it work, exercising, going to movies, going to places where attention and engagement are necessary and there is no food available. Probably one month should be enough to stop the intense craving for food, but I would keep busy with health activities after that to keep avoiding food and if the craving was very intense at least calories could be spent.
