Survey Response

There is no single definition of Organisational Development. OD can be defined as "planned change”.OD includes team-building, career development, talent management, training, and change management, among others.

Organisational climate is how employees perceive the company's overall mission, vision, values, goals, and strategy and is the origin of organisational culture - how employees perceive management's beliefs and value systems, which will determine the success of and motivation of
employees. It is much harder to change organisational culture than changing the organisational climate. OD focuses on developing the structures, systems, and processes within the organisation to improve organisational effectiveness.

Organisational Development is concerned with change to attain more fully integrated individual needs with organisational goals; leads to greater organisational effectiveness through better utilisation of resources, especially human resources, and provides more involvement of organisation
members in the decisions that directly affect them and their working conditions.

Organisation development is an education-based process, which relies on training to training to enhance the organisation's awareness and knowledge required for a successful change process.
